Nesetten GmbH

Driven by needs, fueled by innovation.

Nesetten is a producer and provider of the breakthrough technologies for decentralized, first genuinely mobile energy supply systems based on transition cryogenic fuels and other liquefied gases as cleaner, more sustainable energy options. Our state-of-the-art technology revolutionizes the storage and transportation of liquefied methane and is a game-changer in the (bio-) LNG market.

Nesetten is a First-Of-A-Kind (FOAK) company
As a FOAK, Nesetten represents cutting-edge advancements that are transitioning from laboratory feasibility to real-world applications. Currently, we are at the stage of preparing for production launch, leveraging our FOAK status to refine our processes, validate our technologies, and ensure readiness for commercial scale-up.

Established in April 2022
Nesetten was established in April 2022, building on over a decade of R&D and the founders’ strong belief in the necessity of investing in technology that enhances energy reliability and protects the environment.

Blue Ocean Market
Nesetten’s work was driven by the real needs identified through collaboration with business and scientific communities. The development of its technology and products was shaped by insights from key players in the cryogenic liquids and fuels market.

Over 10 years R&D
Over the past decade, the Nesetten team has engaged in numerous projects demonstrating the significant potential of the small-, micro-, and nano-scale (bio-)LNG market. Despite growing interest, existing technological solutions failed to meet the necessary mobility for storing and transporting cryogenic liquids like LNG. This gap underscored the need for innovative solutions, positioning Nesetten to unlock this market niche effectively.

Discover our products

Our state-of-the art technology revolutionizes the storage and transportation of cryogenic fluids, specifically LNG and bio-LNG. Our micro bulks offer unparalleled insulation capabilities, enabling the safe transport of liquid methane (-163°C) under internal operational pressures of up to 4 bar. In contrast to conventional steel bulks, our system utilizes passive thermal insulation based on nanostructure materials and fiber-reinforced composites, eliminating the need for vacuum technology.

Nano-scale LNG Mobile Refuelling Station

Nesetten presents the world’s first ever nano-scale LNG mobile refuelling station, a groundbreaking solution that pushes the boundaries of innovation. This innovative approach is a game-changer in the LNG market and its distribution.
Our mobile refuelling station is a micro- and nano-scale (bio-)LNG solution, built upon the core innovation of our micro-bulk technology. Unlike conventional refuelling stations, our system is highly compact and mobile, making it ideal for a wide range of applications. With a total vehicle weight of just 3.5 tons, our station offers unparalleled flexibility and ease of deployment.

Nesetten introduces an innovative off-grid energy generation unit that leverages our groundbreaking micro-bulk technology for decentralized thermal and electrical power production. This compact and fully functional unit, housed in a 20-foot shipping container, creatively utilizes liquefied methane as its input source. After vaporization, the methane can be directly used for energy generation through either a conventional power generator or a fuel cell. In the fuel cell, the methane undergoes a chemical process where it is divided into hydrogen for energy production and CO2, which can be collected and recycled for various purposes, such as dry ice production or the conversion of hydrogen back into methane for storage or transportation.
